Seeing the Dignity of Work

Most of us are focused on our own employment situations, thanks to the current economic crisis. Whether we need a job, hate the job we have, or love our jobs, we are probably only thinking about the local job market.

The Big Picture, on Boston.com gathered several photos to show the different types of work people do all over the work. The photos are meant to be a comment on our so-called global economy. But what I see are people. Some people are doing what they love. Others are doing what they have to. All of them are working. And as my parents taught me as a child, “there is dignity in work.”
