The Montgomery-Lonsdale Public School District in Minnesota has a Marketing/Public Relations Internship/Volunteer opportunity available. This part-time position would be responsible for developing ideas and materials to promote the district to residents and potential students.

Duties:

• Maintaining website content
• Developing direct e-mails to parents and staff
• Creating content and messages for public presentations
• Creating brochures, fliers, advertisements and mailings
• Writing press releases
• Providing communication consultation and strategy recommendations to the superintendent as needed

Qualifications:

• Current student in a communications/marketing/public relations program, at the junior, senior or graduate level with GPA of 3.0 or greater; or,
• Experienced communications/marketing/public relations professional willing to volunteer on a part-time basis
• Experience in publishing software and graphic design
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Internet applications

Compensation:

• Opportunity is unpaid
• Letter of recommendation, portfolio artifacts and a reference for future endeavors provided upon request
