Congratulations! You have accomplished something you worked long and hard for — You graduated!

You have your degree, and no one can take it away from you. Earning a degree is an achievement that you should be proud of.

Now that school is behind you (for now …), it’s time to look to look for a paid internship or entry-level job in your field.  Are you ready for the workplace?

Succeeding in an office job, especially a corporate one, requires different skills than a retail, hospitality or manufacturing job.

Lots of sources offer advice to new employee. Here are a few tips you might not have heard from Fast Company:

• Focus on the task at hand. Don’t take on too much too soon.
• Figure out what skill you need, and build relationships with those who can teach you those skills.
• Attention to detail is important.
