The East Metro Project Homeless Connect will hold its 5th annual event:

Connecting Our Neighbors with Local Services

When: Monday, June 14, 2010

Where: St. Paul RiverCentre, 175 W. Kellogg Boulevard

Time: Doors open 9 am. Services will be available until 4pm. Last guests will enter by 3:30pm.

Who: Event welcomes our homeless neighbors (men, women, children and youth) to come and access a wide variety of resources in one place.

What: Free resources and services for homeless individuals and families

  • housing referrals and placement
  • employment services
  • job application and resume help (bring resume with you)
  • educational information
  • medical screening, eye exams & mental health services
  • benefits advice & government information
  • free haircuts
  • legal services
  • veterans services
  • free state IDs
  • homeless youth services
  • early childhood education resources

Free lunch and free childcare provided during event.

How You Can Connect

Share your time and skills with those who are experiencing homelessness. In just one day you can help the Twin Cities move toward ending homelessness.

Volunteer
Greet guests, assist with intake or exit interviews or serve food.

Provide Services
Provide assistance with employment, housing, legal, haircuts, health screenings, education, advocacy, benefits, veterans services, youth and children’s services.

Donate Products
Printing services, hygiene products, bus cards, food, gift cards, socks, t-shirts or financial resources and other essential items.
