Grammy nominated singer Tammi Terrell died on March 16, 1970. Terrell was best known for the duets she recorded with fellow Motown recording artist Marvin Gaye.

Terrell died of a brain tumor at age 24. She died years before I was born, but her sweet, soulful voice will live on forever.

In honor of Ms. Terrell’s life and music, take a listen to one of the best Motown songs ever.
